Thunderfoot Cloggers!

Our performances include, not only bluegrass, but many forms of music including country, rock and pop. The complex formations we choreograph make our dances exciting and interesting for the audience.

In the Beginning....

The early settlers migrating to America brought with them their homeland dances and music. Many settled in the Appalachian Mountain region. This melting pot of cultures brewed over generations creating new American art forms. The resulting music was bluegrass and the resulting dance was Clogging. 

Clogging was not only a form of entertainment for our early settlers, but was also a wonderful way to have fun and exercise. It remains so today! Whatever your age, you may choose simply to watch and be entertained or jump in and join the fun!

Who We Are

The Thunderfoot Cloggers came together in September of 1989. Due to their dedication to dance, a performance team was established. Throughout the years, this exhibition team has performed a wide variety of complex, exciting line, circle and buck-and-wing style dances. The team performs at many different venues in Northern California.
